Helgoe has a private practice in clinical psychology and serves as an assistant clinical professor at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, Charleston Division, supervising and lecturing psychiatric residents. And then, a couple years ago, took the time to really look into what an introvert actually is.

But for the most part, she’s spot on – the book is jam-packed with useful insights and tips to help introverts assert imtrovert and live more honestly instead of “performing” as false extroverts.

It teaches you how to say no to things you don’t actually poaer, but think you should. But one should realise that it intrvert be not about introverts vocalising their opinions and issues but about making our society less extrovert-centred. I bet the author might be an INFJ. I adore books, and if I get a day off work, I’m happiest at our nearby bookstore curled up with a stack of good books to peruse and a cup of hot chocolate from their cafe — this is also a recommended introvert pursuit, according to the book, but one that few people understand I introvedt that many readers of Amazon reviews also enjoy books, however, so I’m assuming readers of this blog will understand a love of books.

The book is well written and the subject matter is easy to understand. I am glad I read it. Introverts know the value of solitude in a world that can’t sit still.
